It didn't work out in the end, but what a great game. As far as I can tell, only two Rice players who saw action this weekend were Seniors (Adam Rodgers and Clay Reichenbach; and I'm not clear on their eligibility status), so the team is stocked with talent for the future.

Traffic to this website has been pretty strong over the last week, so let me take this opportunity to add a few other unsolicited comments:

* ESPN didn't cooperate in providing us with an opportunity to get together and meet some other S.D. alums. So, we'll have to create our own opportunity. Keep an eye out for a Happy Hour in the next month or so, and please post a comment here if you have a recommendation for a good Happy Hour spot (I'll make the comment posting system a little more straightforward).

* Until this idea flames out completely when we're overrun with spam, YOU can post an item to this website by sending an e-mail to sd-owls dot post at blogger dot com. So, if you want to put together a hike or happy hour or whatever, you can let everyone know in a matter of minutes. Also, I never posted my e-mail address which is wpvanv at yahoo dot com.
